Bro. George Dever is the founding pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Dexter, Maine. He began the work in 2004 with about fifteen people after God laid the town of Dexter on his heart, and in 2012 the congregation moved into a former Methodist church building on Main Street — renovated with the help of Missionary Baptist volunteer crews from around the country. In July 2025 the congregation formally organized as Antioch Missionary Baptist Church — a milestone years in the making — and the church keeps moving forward: repeat visitors in the services, VBS and community outreach every summer, and a growing burden to raise up a youth pastor for Antioch's young people. Nevill’s Chapel prays for and supports the Dever family’s work in the Northeast.
